This architecture was built in 1937. It has a cylindrical concrete body mimicking the style of Japanese wooden pagoda and its copperplate roof looks as if it has put on a Gat (Korean traditional headgear). It has monumental and architectural value as a charnel house accommodating souls of Hansen’s disease patients, who were forced into confinement and sorrowful death.
